Samsung has announced to provide the Android 2.3 aka the Gingerbread update to most of its Galaxy devices. Korean Galaxy S, K, U and Galaxy A phones has also been confirmed to receive the update.
The initial Galaxy S Android 2.3 that made its way out must have been premature as Samsung plans to release the update first in UK and Nordic countries in mid-May (which should be anytime now) followed by other regions. Korean Galaxy S, K, U users will receive the update from tomorrow.
The Android 2.3 will improve performance that will consume less processing resources and sport an improved user interface making it more intuitive.
