Galaxy 3D set for Q4 2011 release?

July 21, 2011 By kunal Leave a Comment

Samsung is apparently working on a 3D device based on Android OS. According to a report on Korean website ETNews, Samsung’s tentatively named Galaxy 3D will pit against other 3D models like LG’s Optimus 3D.

The phone is expected to run on Android 2.3 OS but will be upgraded to a future Android version. To power its 3D prowess, the phone will most likely feature Samsung’s in-house developed 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos processor, a 4.3-inch 3D LCD screen and dual 8MP cameras. There will be an HD TV-out as well to output captured 3D content directly on the 3D TV.

The site reckons Samsung could release the Galaxy 3D sometime in the last quarter of this year.
