Samsung’s chairman, Lee kun-hee has been sued again, this time by his nephew’s family over inheritance. Just like the lawsuits filed by Lee kun-hee’s brother and sister, the nephew’s family is also asking for cash and stock in Samsung subsidiaries.
Wife of late Lee Jae-chan (the grandson of the Samsung founder) is seeking 454,847 shares in Samsung Life Insurance Co., 10 preferred and 10 common stocks in Samsung Electronics, 100 Samsung Life stocks and 100 million won in cash.
Her sons on the other hand are seeking 100 million won in cash and 300,231 shares in Samsung Life Insurance Co., another 100 Samsung Life stocks and 10 preferred and 10 common stocks in Samsung Electronics.
Samsung chairman is alleged of transferring shares under his own name from the trust of Lee Byung-chull created before passing away.
