Original Wave (S8500) gets an Android 4.0 port

Wave ICS

Samsung’s maiden Wave device can now run Google’s Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The feat was achieved by an XDA Forum developer who was working on it for the past couple of months and successfully managed to run on Android 4.0.4 on the defunct device. Admittedly, not yet ready for mass consumption, Wave users who know their way to flashing firmware can give it a try.

Some of the things that seem to work are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, camera whereas voice calling, SMS and MMS don’t work.
