Samsung Lawyer Denies Violating Court Order Regarding Excluded Evidence

August 2, 2012 By kunal Leave a Comment

Samsung’s release of the excluded evidence related to the lawsuit in United States attracted flak from the judge who asked Samsung’s lawyer John Quinn to explain who drafted the press release and authorized it from the legal team.

Now Quinn has filed an explanation to the court saying the release of the evidence “did not violate any Court Order or any legal or ethical standards.” Quinn says Samsung did not issue any press release and released the “public materials in response to press inquiries.”

Samsung’s lawyer also claimed that the material was not a ploy to “influence jurors” as the selected jury “had been specifically instructed not to read any form of media relating to this case.”

The courtroom fight between both the companies will resume on Friday.
