Samsung Ties Up With Yahoo! For Interactive Smart TV Content

Samsung has inked a deal with Yahoo! to deliver interactive TV experience to their 2012 range of Smart TVs. Its a multi-year partnership and will integrate Yahoo’s Broadcast Interactivity platform that will allow consumers to receive real-time, actionable content alongside TV shows and ads.

For instance, users will receive on-screen prompts with additional information on the show, trivia, interactive gaming, downloading an app, reviews etc.

The interactivity feature will be added in the Smart TVs sold in the US’ after a firmware update.
