Samsung patches Exynos security flaw for UK Galaxy S III users

Samsung is now patching the serious security flaw found on Exynos devices. Although, the software update is available only for Galaxy S III users residing in UK, this is the first release we’ve seen from Samsung after they acknowledged the issue last month. It will be a matter of time before Samsung rolls out update for all affected devices.

The kernel exploit on Exynos-powered devices gave read and write access to physical memory, which could be exploited by any unscrupulous developer.
