Samsung and LG Display both took a positive step forward when they requested the court to drop the injunction and now the companies will begin “working-level talks” as early as next month.
What the talks will entail is anyone’s guess but the executives have hinted a possible cross-licensing agreement.
“Overall, we are considering cross-licensing patents. That will help the two companies compete with better products in the global market,” said Samsung Display’s Kim Ki-nam.
Samsung Display and LG Display were entangled in a messy legal battle where both companies accused each other of stealing their display technology.
