Exynos 5 Octa will support 20 LTE bands

March 29, 2013 By kunal Leave a Comment

We know Samsung Galaxy S4 supports LTE but there seemed to be some confusion regarding LTE support on Samsung’s own Exynos 5 Octa chip. The official Exynos Twitter account got back to us yesterday confirming that Exynos 5410 will indeed support LTE on 20 bands. However, they refrained to divulge any more details regarding the choice of modem or the regions destined with the Exynos variant.

And if you are left wondering why Samsung chose the Snapdragon 600 SoC instead of their own, the previous report of Exynos facing performance and design issues seems plausible. Also, add to the fact that the mass production of the Exynos 5 Octa is expected to begin from next quarter and Snapdragon is the only chip that gives a formidable performance.
