To take advantage of multi-core processors found on the smartphones and tablets, Samsung and Mozilla have teamed up to work on a new web browser engine known as Servo. Servo is said to be an “attempt to rebuild the Web browser from the ground up on modern hardware, rethinking old assumptions along the way,” which in simpler words will address the security issues while delivering a better web browsing experience on the new powerful gadgets.

Samsung and Mozilla will work to bring the browser engine to Android and ARM but there’s no specific timeline as Mozilla says this is still an early stage project but will “put more resources” in Servo in the coming months.
