UPDATE: The Android 4.2.2 is now available in Russia. India and other regions where I9082 is sold should get the update soon.
A new firmware for the Galaxy Grand Duos (GT-I9082) has been leaked today by SamMobile. Although a test firmware and still few builds away from being the final one, the XXUBMF2 update will bump the device to the latest Android OS v4.2.2 from the original Android 4.1.2. Some of the features added to the firmware are transparent notification bar, Day dream, Smart Stay, lens glare effect unlocking and improved battery life.
There’s no word on when the final Android 4.2.2 for the Galaxy Grand Duos will be available but the site expects rollout of the latest Android OS from this quarter for Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note II, Galaxy Grand Duos and few other tablets.
