Samsung will cut UHD TV prices as well

F9000 UHD TV

Following a price cut of OLED TV this week, Samsung has hinted about an impending price cut for its UHD TV range as well. Kim Hyun-seok, vice president and head of Samsung’s visual display business division said that an announcement related to the new price will be made soon.

Compared to the OLED TV that is available in very few markets, Samsung had started rolling out its UHD TVs. The 85-inch UHD TV sells at a high price ($40,000 in US, Rs. 27 lakhs in India) and even launched the 55-inch and 65-inch models that sell for $5,500 and $7,500 respectively.

There’s no specific timeline for the announcement but it will most likely be before the IFA expo next month as Samsung may unveil new UHD TVs.
