Samsung has released a new stability update for its LTE-enabled Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005). The update is rolling out as an OTA update and will improve performance of the device. In addition to the improvements under the hood, the 116MB update now also re-sets the Reactivation Lock to off by default.
The reason for this change is unknown but users can turned on the lock again by going in the Settings > General > Security.
I have explained the Reactivation Lock feature in detail here or you can watch the video below. It’s a great feature that can stop unwarranted factory reset and would highly recommend turning it on.
Amongst other things, the software update brings a new colour for Samsung’s stock keyboard and fixes direct pen input and one-hand mode after activating Pebble’s accessibility service.
