Samsung and InterDigital Inc. have finally decided to settle their ongoing patent litigation and enter into a licensing agreement. The 8-K filed by InterDigital Inc. with the SEC reveals the settlement but does not give a hint on the monetary compensation.
The filing does confirm that the royalty-bearing license agreement will resolve pending litigations between both the companies and also cover terms for sale of 3G, 4G and other wireless products.
A report from 2011 claimed Samsung was eyeing InterDigital Inc.’s patent portfolio.
