Samsung will soon launch two new affordable handsets running Android 4.4 KitKat OS. The new handsets – Galaxy Pocket 2 Duos and Galaxy Core 2 Duos were leaked by a Vietnamese retailer and though the retailer was quick to yank the product pages but not fast enough before all the details and images were published on other sites.
The Galaxy Pocket 2 will understandably build from the previous generation Galaxy Pocket with Android 4.4.2 support, 3.2-inch QVGA display, 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 2 megapixel camera and 4GB internal memory.
The Galaxy Core 2 Duos is the superior off the two with Dual-SIM support, 4.5-inch WVGA display, quad-core processor, 768MB RAM, 5 megapixel main and front-facing VGA camera, 4GB internal memory.
The decision to bring Android KitKat on such devices won’t go nice as Samsung has denied the goodness of KitKat on a previous flagship phone – the Galaxy S III.
