Court rules no ban on Samsung products in US

US District Judge Lucy Koh in San Jose has denied Apple’s request to ban sales of Samsung products in the United States. The Judge ruled that since Apple could not prove the link between Apple’s “irreparable harm” claim and the infringed Samsung products, there’s no basis to grant a sales ban on Samsung products.

Needless to say, Samsung is happy with the outcome and promises American consumers with a wide choice of “innovative products.”

Earlier, Apple had requested a permanent injunction against infringing Samsung products along with $2.2 billion in damages, of which, $120 million was awarded by the jury.
