Samsung wants to cut down smartphone range by 30 percent

Galaxy S5 Review

If you follow Samsung, you’ll agree that the Korean company has way too many phones in their lineup. Good thing is Samsung recognises this and in a bid to swing back to record profits, the company is trying to bring in efficiency by trimming the smartphone range next year. Head of Investor Relations, Robert Yi confirmed that Samsung is looking to cut its smartphone range by 25 to 30 percent.

Cutting down the range will help them bring efficiency to the components, which will be “shared across mid- to low-end models.”

From a consumer’s point of view, this is a good move as Samsung’s range was turning out to be confusing.
