Samsung India injects Rs. 517 crores for the expansion of manufacturing plant

Samsung has confirmed an earlier report that claimed to manufacture the recently launched Z1 smartphone in India. As part of Uttar Pradesh’s Mega Policy, Samsung will infuse Rs. 517 crores for the expansion of its Noida plant in UP. The plant is known to produce mobile phones and Z1 will be amongst the list that will manufactured at the Noida facility.

Samsung India has also promised to expand manufacturing capacity in India to meet the national demand and has even set up an online monitoring system for the processes to adhere to the global quality standards.

Samsung India has been doing business in the country for the past 20 years with a total head count of 45,000 employees, including 11,000 employees in UP.
