Samsung had few products lined up for its MWC press event but its confirmation about a new device certainly overshadowed the rest of the announcement. The Korean company confirmed that the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event will happen on March 29 in New York for a new Galaxy smartphone.
Samsung has scheduled Unpacked events twice every year to announce Galaxy S and a Galaxy Note device and this goes without saying that the upcoming event will be all about Galaxy S8.
Samsung’s teaser text claims to “unbox the phone” and if we were to analyse, Samsung is hinting on the phone’s non-boxy design that most of the touchscreen smartphones use these days. The design also hints on the edge display, resonating with the rumours that have been circulating for quite a while.
At the press event yesterday, Samsung announced three new tablets running Android and Windows 10 along with the new Gear VR with Controller.
