Wikileaks: CIA hacked Samsung TVs, tablet to extract information

Wikileaks yesterday, uploaded a trove of alleging the reach of United State’s top intelligence agency by detailing the agency’s hacking capabilities. However, an exploit dubbed “Weeping Angel” claims CIA targeted Samsung Smart TV that transformed them into “covert microphones” due to TV’s feature to accept voice commands and sending audio data over the Internet to a CIA server.

Another document “JQJGUNSHY” also mentions using an exploit on Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P3100 that claims to use a remote exploit, privilege escalation and an implant.
