Along with Samsung’s Galaxy S8 devices, Samsung also updated its Gear 360 camera. The 360-degree camera now sports an improved design that makes it easier for the user to hold and record the video and is IP53 certified for water and dust resistance. Moreover, its two 8.4 megapixel fish-eye f/2.2 cameras are capable of capturing videos at 4K resolution for an immersive 4K VR experience whereas the stills can be captured at 15 megapixel.
The new Gear 360 also enables users to live broadcast or directly upload to social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube when the camera is synced with a compatible smartphone or PC.
Samsung hasn’t revealed the price but this time, the new Gear 360 will work with Apple devices, Windows and Mac as well, in addition to Samsung devices.
