Series 9

Samsung last month released the Core i7 variant of 13-inch Series 9 notebook in South Korea and now they’ve announced a slightly more affordable Core i5 13-inch and Core i5/i7 15-inch Series 9 notebooks. The 13-inch variant is more or less the same as before but now comes with Intel’s Core i5 processor and 128GB SSD.

The 15-inch on the other hand is just 14.9mm thick and embeds Max Screen technology that allows to integrate a larger 15-inch display in a 14-inch chassis. As for the other specs, the notebook comes in both Core i5 and Core i7 options, Intel HD 3000 Graphics, up to 8GB RAM, 128 or 256GB SSD, micro HDMI, USB 3.0 and Super Bright Plus HD display supporting a brightness of 400nits and resolution of 1600×900 pixels.

The 13-inch Series 9 powered by Core i5 will sell for 2.28m won (US$2033) whereas the 15-inch Core i5 and Core i7 models will sell for 2.32m won (US$2069) and 2.97m won (US$2648) respectively.
